The education offering of phmuseum.com for years has successfully offered online tutoring courses dedicated to photography. Following the international scope of the platform, the new PhMuseum Lab will offer some of the most innovative photography courses in Bologna. With a team of tutors made up of professionals and artists of the contemporary photographic scene, our program will offer varied photography courses suitable for all levels.

12 participants will have the opportunity to expand their research methods and develop their documentary work under 8-months guidance from Laura El-Tantawy.

Designed for authors, emerging curators, and gallerists, the new masterclass will focus on surveying the relevant aspects surrounding the planning, curation, logistics and commercial variables within the realm of contemporary exhibitions and gallery/artist relations.

10 participants will be followed by Witty Books publisher Tommaso Parrillo and Designer Federico Barbon with the goal of concluding a project and have it ready for publication.

The course combines a theoretical and practical program composed of 8 meetings oriented to the transmission of the fundamentals for creating and understanding how to read images.

The course analyzes the framework and the methodologies behind a commissioned story. Mattia will speak about his career from assistant to photographer, bringing specific examples of how to research and self-commissioned projects can simultaneously be the fuel to find a personal style and the opportunity to convey a vision to clients.
